an excerpt from eat, love, pray

"The Yogic sages say that all the pain of a human life is caused by words, as is all the joy. We create words to define our experience and those words bring attendant emotions that jerk us around like dogs on a leash. We get seduced by our own mantras and we become monuments to them. To stop talking for a while, then, is to attempt to strip away the power of words, to stop choking ourselves with words, to liberate ourselves from our suffocating mantras."

cookies

I think I impressed myself with the turnout of this year's cookies. A simple gingerbread cookie with butter cream icing and sprinkled with sparkly sugar.

rufus

I have a dog his name is rufus. People are always telling me I need a dog. When I ask them why, they say because it's always there for you when you get home and it loves you unconditionally. I don't know if a soul-less animal is capable of love, but rufus is always there for me when I get home and I don't have to clean up his poop.

wrap it up

I like to buy presents and even more, I like to wrap them. Here is a couple of presents I just wrapped for a happy couple of people who are about to get married.
