hot commodity

I went to a concert last night. If you are not from Nashville, you will probably ask... On a weeknight?

Yes, on a weeknight.
Yes, for $5.
No, it was not the only show going on in town.

I realized while i was sitting with friends listening to a great band, disappointed with Candy, that Nashville's hot commodity is music.

Aside from the big music business in Nashville, Music is given out like corn is in the Midwest. It's good, its plenty and the harvest is ready.

i think that's the beauty of Nashville. such a wide variety of music genre brings together such a wide variety of people who enjoy this music; emo, hard-core, country, pop, easy listening, and so on and so forth. Nashville allows for creative talent in music and art to grow to full maturity, to be valued and cherished as it should. Nashville allows for transformation, for growth, for togetherness and community as we all share a common love and passion for music and the arts. it's a beautiful thing, this music-mecca!

you know, in other cities people hand out flyers or business cards or something. In Nashville, people hand out cds. It's true. What a great place to be. I love this town.
